ABCSD CEO UPDATE
MARCH 16, 2020
A Super Tuesday
ABCSD is passionate about the well-being of our members, associates and industry throughout San Diego County. We all are facing difficult days ahead as we navigate the challenges in response to the rising concerns and threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
Our hearts and thoughts are with all of the people who have been directly impacted by this unprecedented event. We understand the challenges, worries and circumstances we all are considering and managing. We also recognize the dedicated teams of healthcare providers, local leaders both county and statewide, and governments around the world who are working on the front line to keep the disease contained.
At this time, ABCSD’s offices are open. We have a great team and we are here to support each other, our students and our members. However, our classes will be canceled this week and the students will start their regular scheduled Spring Break on Friday, March 20 with classes scheduled to resume on March 30.
We have postponed and rescheduled any gatherings, meetings and events through the end of the month. We will remain mindful and sensitive to the updates and information regarding this current world-wide situation. Continuing Education classes will be updated daily on whether they will continue to be held.
We recognize that these are unsettling times. The safety and well-being of our members, associates, staff, and students are of the utmost importance. It is a responsibility we take seriously. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
