And having the freedom to choose – your trade, your work conditions and opportunities, your employees, your projects – is freedom played out in everyday life. Nowhere will you find those freedoms more idealized than by the men and women of the Associated Builders & Contractors.
Each morning as dawn breaks, men and women across the country review construction plans and head off to build America. ABC San Diego would like to recognize those individuals – the hard-working men and women throughout the United States – who have chosen construction as a profession and in so doing have helped to build the greatest nation in the world.
In 2005, more than $1.2 trillion of construction was put into place in the U.S., generating jobs and economic opportunity for millions of Americans. Our lives are impacted each day by the hard work, ingenuity and dedication of these professionals.
More than 85 percent of all construction in the nation is put in place by merit shop contractors.
